Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea

This week our Kindai students were treated to a very special Valentine’s Day event. Maria’s wonderful customer service class prepared a lovely high tea for the teens. The afternoon tea was complete with beautifully made cucumber sandwiches, scones, lamingtons, hot and iced tea.

The front of house staff were in charge of greeting our Kindai students and taking them to their table.

Front of house staff

The teens were waited upon by the lovely waiters and waitresses who provided them with high-quality service.

The students were encouraged to relax and enjoy the many games laid out on the tables as their drink orders were taken. Delicious refreshments were soon made and brought out.

Serving drinks

No high tea would be complete without a few sweet treats like Aussie lamingtons and jam on scones.

The customer service students even went as far as to organise a lucky door prize. Four lucky boys were the winners of some beautifully packaged Valentine’s chocolate which they were kind enough to share with the rest of their table.

All in all the event was extremely successful and the feedback was fantastic. It’s sure to be a Valentine’s Day the Kindai students will never forget.

Christmas Performance

CP1

Every year Lexis Noosa likes to organise a Christmas performance where each class sings a Christmas carol in front of the school.

This year Lexis Noosa also organised a Pizza lunch for the school to say thank you for all their hard work.

A very Merry Christmas

Lexis Noosa enjoyed their last student night of the year!

The winner of the Christmas competition was Mo from Upper Intermediate with the guess of 287. Congratulations on winner your lollies and boat trip.

The students got to enjoy platters of shared nibbles, some drinks and great company.

Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Everybody! Our new TAP students are getting into the Christmas spirit by taking a photo with the Jolly Man himself, Santa.

Student Profile: Nicolas Boulanger

Today I sat down with student Nicolas Boulanger to find out about his time at Lexis Noosa.

Where are you from: Ermeton-Sur-Biert, in Belgium
Which program are you studying: I’m in the Teen Activity Program – first I did TAP Surf, and now I’m doing TAP General. In total I am here for 6 weeks (this is week 5) – I am on summer holidays from my school in Belgium.
Why did you choose to come to Australia to learn English: My friends have gone to England and America to study and I wanted to go somewhere different. And I love Australia.
Why did you choose Lexis?: My parents found out about Lexis and thought it would be a good idea. It was a great idea!
What do you like to do in Noosa: Hang out with my friends, go surfing and being outdoors.
What is your favourite thing about Lexis Noosa?: The teachers, they are close to their students, they’re approachable. They discuss with me, how and why, not just ‘at’ me. I like their style of teaching.
What do you like to do in Belgium: I’m on the National Baseball Team, so I play a lot of baseball and train a lot too.
Do you have any siblings (brothers or sisters)?: I have a little sister, she is 11 years old
