Thursday 12th September 2019 from 6.00pm –  Lexis Noosa Student Party Night!

BBQ dinner starts at 6pm! Glow Party starts at 9pm! Buy a white T-Shirt from Target for $5 and glow paint will be provided for you at KB’s backpacker night club.  (Don’t forget to let your host mother know you will be late home)

Volleyball

Our Lexis Noosa students love playing beach volleyball so we decided to play another game this afternoon.

With our hottest day so far for Spring at 31 degrees, we definitely needed to cool down in the shade with a game of volleyball.

Fresh Fruit from Queensland

The cooking class are all levels of general English and this week we visited local shops and looked at local produce.  We are so lucky to live in an area where lots of fruit and vegetables are grown locally.  The class researched seven recipes and then presented them with a description.  We all voted for our preferred options and we chose to make a Caramelised PIneapple Curry and a Strawberry Shortcake.  The strawberries were grown on a farm nearby and the pineapple was grown on a farm in Kadanga in the hinterland.

The students enjoyed giving instructions and checking information using the new vocabulary they were taught.  Best of all we loved tasting the creations at the end!
