Today we say good-bye to 2 of our Lexis Noosa students.
We have Hitomi from Sam’s Intermediate class and Robin from Kirsten’s Upper Intermediate class.
We wish them all the best in the future!
My name is Beatrice, I’m French and I have lived in Italy for 34 years. I learned English at school a long time ago and I sometimes attended English courses. I speak French and Italian and I’d like to be able to think in and speak English too.
I was worried about being an older student, but I am happy that my age is not a problem in Lexis. I am happy and comfortable in the school and have met some nice students. At the moment my English is very bad, but I am sure that I am making progress with the lessons at Lexis. I am looking forward to learning more English skills in the school.
To stay in Australia for 3 months I am going to try to get a job as a masseuse or a cleaner. Any job will be good for me as long as I can improve my English at the same time.
We sat down and asked the hard questions to our staff member Cathy to find out a little bit more about her.
What Languages do you speak?
I speak English and Welsh.
I’ll bet you didn’t know that…
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is actually a name of a town in Wales and it is in the Guinness Book of Records for being the place with the longest name!
What places have you lived in?
I have lived in Wales, Bahrain and Australia but my favourite one would have to be beautiful Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
If you weren’t a teacher what would you be?
I would definitely be a News Reporter.
What do you like to do on the weekend?
On the weekend you’ll find me on the Noosa River or at the Beach.
What is Noosa’s best kept secret?
A secret car park in Hastings Street… but I’ll never tell you exactly where haha!
What is your favourite food?
Vegetables and salad.
What is your favourite pastime?
I love exercising and socialising.
What is your English tip?
Just keep practicing!

We love hearing stories that warm our hearts.
Rainer Keller was a student at Lexis English Noosa that studied the Cambridge CAE course with our wonderful teacher Phil back in 2014. Rainer said that when he was studying at Lexis he met the love of his life Keiko who was also studying at Lexis. We are so glad that you both found happiness together.
This is the beautiful email we received from Rainer Keller:
I’m writing to you 4 years after I left Noosa because Lexis changed my life forever and I wanted to share this with you. At school I met a wonderful girl from Japan, who became my wife just 2 years later. This is me together with my wife Keiko Okuyama at our wedding party in Japan, and 3 other former Lexis students (Miiku Sako and Ayane Kawagoshi from Japan & Donghoon Lee from South Korea).
Now they are happy parents with a gorgeous baby girl, Yuna.
Lexis English Australia is over the moon with our rating from the ESL students.
