This afternoon the Lexis Noosa students spent the afternoon painting boomerangs using some traditional Aboriginal symbols.
How amazing do they all look!!!!!
We have a fun filled afternoon installed for Lexis Noosa students! Today the student had 2 activities to choose from, watching Jumanji or a water colour painting lesson with Phil. Which one would you choose?
One of Lexis English Noosa’s must do is to take part in Phil’s water colour painting class.
He teaches you all the techniques needed to complete a water colour painting. Step by step you will be painting a lake, mountains and storm clouds and to finish it off you will need to draw some birds, a boat and cabin in the mountains. Sign your picture and then you are finished!
Good work everyone! Your water colour paintings look amazing!!

Lexis Noosa students spent the afternoon relaxing & listening to some music as they paint their awesome boomerangs.
The students thought of some great designs! They could be the real deal ;).
Hope you all had a great afternoon. You now have a great souvenir to take home with you to remember your fantastic trip to Australia annnnd remember us here at Lexis English Noosa hehe.
Our Lexis Noosa students spent the afternoon mixing colours and coming up with the perfect colour combinations for their Tie Dye T-Shirts.
We showed them how to do 2 different types of designs for their Tie Dye shirts, a swirl pattern or classic stripes.
In true Lexis Noosa tradition, we will wash our shirts off tonight and wear them to school tomorrow and also down to our local pub for our very own Tie Dye Party!! WooHoo!!
This afternoon the Lexis Noosa students also had a Aussie Slang Workshop to help them understand our tricky accent. Our teacher Sam showed them the classic Aussie slang that can be heard around the Noosa area and also had time to show them how to use a stock whip.
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone at Lexis Noosa. We hope you all have a wonderful day spending it with someone special in your life.
Lexis Noosa Students spent the afternoon making Valentine’s Day cards for that someone special in their lives.
Happy Valentine’s Day 🙂
Our Lexis Noosa students trying their luck at painting traditional boomerangs.
Our creative students were given traditional Aboriginal symbols, beautiful coloured paint and wooden boomerangs to have their take on some Aussie artwork.
They look amazing! Was a very busy afternoon with around 40 students signed up to participate. Such a great souvenir or a great present for somebody special when you return home.
Hope you all enjoyed the creative afternoon. Let us know what activities you would want to try out on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lexisnoosa/.
Today Lexis Noosa had two exciting afternoon activities that the students could choose from. Either a water colour painting workshop or a Christmas movie.
The students that felt like relaxing this afternoon got to watch ‘ELF’ the Christmas movie while they enjoyed plenty of popcorn & lollies.
Some of the more art inspired students sat in on a water colour painting session with our very own amazing teacher Phil for a more hands on kind of afternoon. In the workshop the students get to learn how to water colour paint from scratch.
We hope you enjoyed your activities this afternoon and can’t wait to see you on the next one!
BBQ and Glow party at KB’s!
Student night started off with a great BBQ from 7pm – 9pm in the beer garden at KB’s. All of the students looked like they really enjoyed their meals along with a few beverages.
After the BBQ the students made their way into the club where things started to glow. They enjoyed many drinks while everyone started to paint each others faces with the glow paint.
At 9pm the big prize was drawn and the students were cheering while they patiently waited to see who the big winner was for the free Fraser Island Trip worth up to $500.00! After a lot of excitement the big winner was our Brazilian student Isabela.
What a great turn out for our student night this week. The night was filled with lots of smiles, laughing and fun. Hope that you all had the best night and aren’t too tired for school today!
This afternoon the Lexis Noosa student’s tried their luck at Tie Dying a white T-shirt.
The students watch a You Tube video to get the right skills and techniques to master the spiral tie dye look.
Now the Lexis Noosa students will wait 4-6 hours for the dye to sink into the white T-shirt and with any luck the shirts will come out absolutely beautiful!! Stay tune to see the unveiling of the Tie Dye shirts tomorrow and also to see the Lexis Noosa students wearing them to their very own Tie Dye Party!! 🙂
Some very lucky students got a step-by-step guide to painting with watercolours today by our one and only artist teacher – Phil!
A great way to learn practical uses of English – the differences between ‘above’ and ‘below’ and ‘more’ and ‘less’ were incredibly important.
Want to see how the paintings turned out?
Stay tuned for an update!
