But four of our beautiful Lexis Noosa students were on a mission to have an adventure and find some amazing Australian animals and of course have fun along the way!

Lexis Style

Assessment and Reporting Lexis Style

At Lexis, our 360 degree support is also reflected in our Assessment and reporting.  On arrival, student visa holders are given a detailed study plan during their initial interview which is given to their teachers and also forwarded to their agents.

During their second week, all students are given a feedback survey and asked to report on their class, their teacher and the administration staff. We also check if everything is fine with their accommodation and host families. For our student visa holders, this is followed up by a personal interview with the academic manager. This way, any initial problems or worries can be resolved quickly and efficiently.

Every four weeks, all students will have a personal interview with their class teacher and receive a full written report.

Sam and student

The teacher will address each English skill, and how the student is progressing compared to their initial testing and for the level that they are studying in. They are given academic advice and suggestions for GIL (guided individual learning). The student also completes a report on their teacher and learning. This 360 degree reporting enables us to monitor our students and our academic teaching methods and ensure the best possible outcomes.

Every student will receive a final exit report and certificate in their last week.  The student is asked to complete a detailed exit survey to give us feedback on all areas of their Lexis Noosa experience including accommodation and activities.

Hula Hooping

What a wonderful activity to do after a long day of studing English. A great way to relax, unwind and just have FUN!

Finding Love at Lexis Noosa

We love hearing stories that warm our hearts.

Rainer Keller was a student at Lexis English Noosa that studied the Cambridge CAE course with our wonderful teacher Phil back in 2014. Rainer said that when he was studying at Lexis he met the love of his life Keiko who was also studying at Lexis. We are so glad that you both found happiness together.

Rainer 1

This is the beautiful email we received from Rainer Keller:

I’m writing to you 4 years after I left Noosa because Lexis changed my life forever and I wanted to share this with you. At school I met a wonderful girl from Japan, who became my wife just 2 years later. This is me together with my wife Keiko Okuyama at our wedding party in Japan, and 3 other former Lexis students (Miiku Sako and Ayane Kawagoshi from Japan & Donghoon Lee from South Korea).

Now they are happy parents with a gorgeous baby girl, Yuna.

Akiko said that the best part of her job was the free scuba diving everyday!

She met people from all over the world and absolutely loved her job. Now Akiko is moving to New Zealand to work on a ski resort on the South Island. We love hearing happy and exciting travel adventures from our ex-students.

Perfect conditions for a game of beach soccer as the tide was very low. After a good hour of playing the students made their way over to the red and yellow flags for a cool down swim.

Travelling Australia

The afternoon option class Travel Australia have enjoyed sharing travel stories and advice.  They explore different places to stay as well as information and tips on staying healthy as they travel. Many students plan a two or three month holiday after their English courses.  Ramona recently returned and met up with fellow student Patrick to swap stories.  Ramona said that three months travelling around Australia was not enough as she still wanted to visit Tasmania.  She is planning to return in 18 months with her sister and study more and travel. The best tip she gave Patrick was not to drive at night on rural roads.  She mentioned that there was so much amazing wildlife that can be injured at night.maria blog

Their teacher Maria spent 2015 with her family driving around Australia and doing farm and voluntary work.  There is also an on-site travel agent at Noosa who has a wealth of knowledge to share.  It’s a great opportunity for students to plan their adventures!
