September Activity Calendar

We have an action packed activity calendar lined up for our Lexis Noosa students for the month of September 2019!!

September Calendar

Wednesday 11th September 2019 at 2.00pm – BEACH SAFETY PRESENTATION

Our beaches are beautiful and dangerous. Every year there are deaths on Australian beaches due to drowning – even on crowded beaches without big waves. This presentation could save YOUR life. This is why we are asking all students to attend.  Your teacher will bring you to the presentation shortly before 2pm.

Thursday 12th September 2019 from 6.00pm –  Lexis Noosa Student Party Night!

BBQ dinner starts at 6pm! Glow Party starts at 9pm! Buy a white T-Shirt from Target for $5 and glow paint will be provided for you at KB’s backpacker night club.  (Don’t forget to let your host mother know you will be late home)

Volleyball

Our Lexis Noosa students love playing beach volleyball so we decided to play another game this afternoon.

With our hottest day so far for Spring at 31 degrees, we definitely needed to cool down in the shade with a game of volleyball.

Indigenous Scratch Art

This afternoon our Lexis Noosa students enjoyed learning about Indigenous Art and the history of our Australia Aboriginal people.

4

Aboriginal culture dates back as far as between 60,000 to 80,000 years. There is no written language for Australian Aboriginal People so in order to convey their important cultural stories through the generations it is portrayed by symbols/icons through their artwork.

2

Indigenous art is centered on story telling. It is used as a chronical to convey knowledge of the land, events and beliefs of the Aboriginal people.

I am a yoga teacher and I used to run donation based yoga events in Melbourne and they’ve always been so much fun.
This event is donation based which means if you are able to pay something (suggested donation 5$) that’s cool but if not that’s also cool.

For beginners and advanced, old or young. Just come along with a towel or yoga mat, water and maybe a sweater or something else in case it gets cold.
Great to start the day right, get some you time and also meet new, fun people.

It’ll be a vinyasa flow that will challenge you but reward you with relaxation afterwards 🙂 we are doing a small mediation in the end as well! 🧘🏽‍♀🧘🏽‍♂

Send me a DM if you have any questions

See you all there 🙂
