Candle Making

This afternoon our Lexis Noosa students were able to have a go at making their own candles.

Candle 2

We first watched a video on YouTube for the instructions on how to start making our candles.

We melted the wax carefully and added our colour and oils for fragrance. What scent would you choose? Vanilla, lavender, rose or jasmine?

After everything was added to the melted wax we carefully pour into the jar to create our perfect candles!

Owners will be up and love a good chat about their love for everything beer and what it takes to be able to produce only the best.

Prisoners and Pups

Group

Today in Michelle’s Documentary option we learned about a program in South Australia where ex-racing Greyhounds are paired with prisoners in Adelaide. The women have 8 weeks to teach these dogs how to be pets so that they can be adopted. Luckily, Michelle’s good friend, Shaunagh, works closely with a Greyhound adoption organisation and has three greyhounds!

She brought them all in to meet the class. One of them, Lockey, went through the program and is now a very well-mannered dog. If you want to watch the documentaries, go to abc.net and look for “Prisoners and pups.”  To meet the pups, visit the Eumundi markets on Saturday, they are always ready for a snuggle!
