This afternoon Lexis Noosa students enjoyed an afternoon of fun in the sun playing volleyball. This activity was so busy we had to make five teams! While two teams versed each other the others sat in the sun and watched as they found out who their next opponent was.
What could be better than a pancake breakfast! This morning we cooked a lovely breakfast for our students that are in the afternoon Sunset classes. After eating loads of food and drinking Australia’s famous MILO we played a couple of games of UNO and had a great laugh.
Lexis Noosa students enjoyed their afternoon by the beach while playing or watching a game of beach soccer. The students were split up into 4 teams of 8 because we had so many students wanting to play! They all looked like they enjoyed the afternoon in the sunshine… finished off with a nice swim in the ocean.
Huge congratulations to Lexis Noosa’s CAE student, 19 year old Robin Hermann who last Sunday competed in the Mooloolaba Triathlon and achieved second place in his 18-24 age category and placed 43rd overall. Not only is this an outstanding achievement in itself but the icing on the cake is that he has qualified for the World Championships in South Africa in 2018. He started his daily triathlon training 5 years ago and represents Team Koach in Switzerland. Robin said “Everyday I go out and train to reach my goals and this was one of them. My dream came true last Sunday”. His teacher Anne and his classmates are so proud of him and his success. Robin still made it to class on Monday and completed his homework!
Well done Robin and good luck next year – your a superstar!
Student night started off with a great BBQ from 7pm – 9pm in the beer garden at KB’s. All of the students looked like they really enjoyed their meals along with a few beverages.
After the BBQ the students made their way into the club where things started to glow. They enjoyed many drinks while everyone started to paint each others faces with the glow paint.
At 9pm the big prize was drawn and the students were cheering while they patiently waited to see who the big winner was for the free Fraser Island Trip worth up to $500.00! After a lot of excitement the big winner was our Brazilian student Isabela.
What a great turn out for our student night this week. The night was filled with lots of smiles, laughing and fun. Hope that you all had the best night and aren’t too tired for school today!
