Sam is the man when it comes to helping our students find a job!
We understand how important it is for many of our students to find employment as soon as possible after arrival. That is why we run our ‘Lexis WORKshop’ every Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm for all our full time students.
The first thing that Sam will do is to help you get a Tax File Number (TFN) and Australian Business Number (ABN). Then you are provided with a computer and Sam will help you write up a resume that suits the current Noosa work environment. He knows what information is needed and what is unnecessary. This workshop is personalised to your needs and requirements. You can print off your resumes once they are ready.
The next step is to get help with where to go, when to go and how to approach employers with your resume. You are then ready to set out on your job search. But not alone; if needed Sam is always happy to give a helping hand.
If your English is at a level good enough to try for a ‘front of house’ job such as table waiting or working behind a bar or in a cafe. In which case Sam will help you get your Responsible Service of Alcohol’ certificate.
So, good luck with your job hunting and give yourself a better chance by signing up for Lexis WORKshop.

First week in Noosa?
This is what you need to see, know and do:
Laguna Lookout Sunset
Pack a picnic and head up to Laguna Lookout for one of the most amazing Australian sunsets you will ever see!
Noosa National Park
Noosa National Park’s Coastal Track is one of the great walks of the Sunshine Coast. You’ll see turquoise water, white sand, frolicking dolphins and a native forest with koalas.
Noosa Main Beach
Make your way down to Hastings Street and grab an ice cream of your choice and melt away while you stare into the magical waters of Noosa Main Beach.
Lexis Noosa students had a great afternoon tasting some of Australia’s awesome cheeses along with a little bit of wine of course!
MERSEY VALLEY CHEDDAR
Mersey Valley is Australia’s best loved vintage club cheddar! Mersey Valley vintage club cheddar was created over 35 years ago. Mersey Valley Classic has an extra strong bite, which is balanced with a crumbly melt-in your mouth texture. Mersey Valley Classic is a very versatile cheese that is perfect for a platter, as a snacking cheese or for use in cooking.
TRILOGY CLUB CHEDDAR
This trilogy club cheese takes vintage cheddar and pairs it with Mediterranean-inspired ingredients like summery herbs and sundried tomatoes. Just one nibble will have you hooked. The South Cape Trilogy range includes 3 cheeses, each cleverly combined with a selection of unique flavours.
JINDI TRIPLE CREAM BRIE
As a dessert cheese, the Jindi Triple Cream is very rich and full flavoured. Its butter- like texture melts in your mouth and the taste lingers for some time. Beneath the white mould bloom lies a glorious golden interior.
KING ISLAND BLUE CHEESE
Blue vein cheese is a unique category of mould ripened cheese as it ripens from the interior, as opposed to the exterior (like soft white cheese). Blue vein has a strong tangy flavour, a pungent aroma and a smooth and creamy texture.
TASMANIAN HERITAGE CAMAMBERT
Tasmanian Heritage Camembert has a wonderfully satisfying smooth, mild and delicate flavour. Its rind has a dense, even white mould covering, with a slight mushroom aroma, revealing a silky yet firm and pale centre.
Cheese has been made in Kenilworth for more than 60 years. The Cochrane family, dairy farmers in the region for six generations. They recently purchased the Kenilworth cheese factory and it is now known as Kenilworth Dairies. The Cochrane farms provide the freshest, highest quality milk from their farms, a short distance away in the Mary Valley. This milk is made into the delicious cheese, yoghurt, mousse, and ice cream produced at Kenilworth Dairies.
Hope you all had a great afternoon. Enjoy the long weekend
