Every Thursday our amazing teacher Tanya teaches a pronunciation workshop. In this workshop Tanya will teach the students exactly how to pronounce tricky words in the English language. They always have a lot of fun! To see them in action head to our facebook page Lexis English | Noosa.
Huge congratulations to Lexis Noosa’s CAE student, 19 year old Robin Hermann who last Sunday competed in the Mooloolaba Triathlon and achieved second place in his 18-24 age category and placed 43rd overall. Not only is this an outstanding achievement in itself but the icing on the cake is that he has qualified for the World Championships in South Africa in 2018. He started his daily triathlon training 5 years ago and represents Team Koach in Switzerland. Robin said “Everyday I go out and train to reach my goals and this was one of them. My dream came true last Sunday”. His teacher Anne and his classmates are so proud of him and his success. Robin still made it to class on Monday and completed his homework!
Well done Robin and good luck next year – your a superstar!

RSPCA Cupcake Day gathers bakers from across the nation to make a stand for animal welfare. Absolutely 100 per cent of funds raised through your baking efforts will help rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the 135,000 animals that come through RSPCA shelters every year.
Cupcake Day is on
Wednesday 23rd August
READY. SET. BAKE!
Every dollar you raise will change the lives of animals in need.
The RSPCA receives less than two per cent of our funding from the government, so we rely on the generosity of people like you. The money you raise will rescue animals from cruelty and prepare them for their forever homes, by providing shelter, nourishment, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation.
If you sell each cupcake for a humble $2:
- 12 cupcakes can provide an orphaned kitten with a bed, litter tray, meals and a toy.
- 25 cupcakes can cover one week of antibiotics for an animal recovering from surgery.
- 50 cupcakes can de-sex a cat or dog so they can be adopted.
- 120 cupcakes can subsidise emergency surgery for an animal.
- 175 cupcakes can subsidise the cost of prosecuting a cruelty offender in court.
Are you wondering what activities you can get up to after school and on the weekend? Check out our awesome activities that we have on offer for this week. They are looking pretty good to me! Please don’t forget to sign up at reception.
We found out that all the cooking class enjoy hot and spicy food! This week we researched types of curry from around the world and we decided to make curry from India. Using fresh locally grown ginger from Buderim and green beans from Gympie we made two types of curry with condiments.
Everyone found out how to make naan bread, which is a great alternative when you are travelling and camping as it’s quick and easy to make and you can leave to rise whilst you are driving along!
We had a great time talking about food, describing tastes and aromas and following and adapting the recipes we chose together!
Now all that’s left to do is eat and enjoy!
