What: Noosa National Park Walk

When/Where: Anytime over the Weekend

Description: Noosa National Park encompasses an area of more than 4,000 hectares, including sections surrounding Lake Weyba, Peregian and Coolum. Noosa National Park is extremely important for nature conservation and is home to several rare and threatened species. Noosa National Park is loved by locals and tourists alike.

One of Australia’s favourite National parks and it is one of the easiest to access by foot from local areas.Explore kilometres of walking tracks of all grades from wheelchair accessible easy walking to medium level sandy tracks. No trip to Noosa is complete without a trip to Noosa National Park for a day.

An easy introduction to Noosa National Park would be to take a stroll along the boardwalk from the end of Noosa Main Beach. This will take you past Little Cove, a favorite beach for the locals and on towards the park main entrance. Visit the information hut for information on recent sightings and to stock up on water if you need it (essential!).

Follow the coastal path stopping at the “Boiling Pot” a short distance into the park. There are great views here back towards Noosa and to the right the first beach in the park Tea Tree Bay. Proceed along the coastal track to Tea Tree Bay and do a bit of Koala spotting in the trees behind the beach. There are public facilities at the far end of this bay, the only facilities in the park.

From here the coastal track will take you on towards Dolphin Point and the end of the sealed track. The track is suitable for prams and wheelchairs up until this point.

Afternoon Board Games

This afternoon our Lexis Noosa students enjoyed playing board games in our common area.

Game 1

It’s a great chance to meet other students from different classes within our Lexis Noosa school.

Making new friends and having a wonderful time is what Lexis Noosa is all about!!!

How well do you know your classmates?

The students in the writing option were excited to speak, listen and write so they interviewed one another about their  hope and ambitions for the future.  They were asked to describe their personality and things they were good at doing.

Momo and Catarina from Intermediate General English were happy to interview each other.

Momo

I interviewed Catarina. She is 24 years old and from Brazil. She wanted to come to Noosa with her boyfriend but, she couldn’t…

She described herself as kind and she always tries to do things for her friends. She is a very hard worker. When she was in Brazil, she worked as a copy writer and wrote about culture in her job. It means she’s good at writing Portuguese on a computer. On the other hand, she is not good at Maths.

I interviewed Momoko. She is 22 years old and she is living in Noosa at the moment.  She defines herself as a “confused” person because she spends a lot of time choosing something.

She said that her best skill is eating chocolate and ice –cream and also cooking.  She is not good at using computers.

For her, being an engineer is the worst job and a doctor is considered to be a good job in Japan, but she likes animals, so she plans to start her own business, like a farm, in the future. She prefers to work alone or just with a few people. This is her dream job owning her own farm with horses.

Her answer to my surprise question was: “My name. I would like to change to Sabrina”
