Our Yoga for Surfers class was hit at school on Tuesday morning! With the class full the students were happy to take part in this challenging yoga routine. The purpose of this yoga class is to strengthen and stretch the muscles we use for surfing. We focused on strengthening poses for our shoulders and core, and stretching our internal and external obliques as well as our gluteal muscles to prevent lower back pain. I also included some hip opening stretches and some balancing poses to help improve our balance on the surfboard! This session is great for students who would like to progress and improve their surfing ability.
