A lovely warm winters afternoon down a Noosa Main Beach yesterday with the students frothing to have a surf. Surfers, Anj and Lox led the surf lesson on the sand, teaching the student’s all the important parts of surfing. The lesson began with some surf safety, identifying rips and currents, awareness in the water, surfing safely and watching your surroundings.
Then we moved into techniques on the board, where to lie, how to paddle and finally how to stand up on your board. After the demonstration on the beach the students eagerly hit the water to catch some waves.
As the sun was starting to set, and the waves keep plummeting through, the students enjoyed a typical Aussie experience, surfing at sunset! What a magical afternoon to be in Noosa 🙂
