Dear Lexis students, Noosa is a beautiful city, take some time after school or on the weekend to make the most of your time here with us. Click on the following links to get more information about what you can do in and around Noosa:
Noosa Alive : This May and June as we celebrate NOOSA ALIVE, take an extended Noosa break and refresh in the warm waters of our beautiful beaches; browse creative towns in the Noosa hinterland; try stand-up paddling, kayaking or surfing; or discover beautiful natural attractions including the Noosa Everglades, Noosa River and National Parks that surround.
Food, wine, music, fun: Some of the best international and Australian chefs, along with food producers, wine makers and entertainers join foodies from around the world for the Noosa International Food & Wine Festival (15-18 May) for a 4-day party that celebrates the good things in life.
Events in Noosa: From boats to burlesque and motorbikes to music, there’s plenty coming up in Noosa. Apart from major festivals (follow the link) there’s fun and action around the region.
More food: If you can’t make it to the Noosa International Food & Wine Festival, there are always great foodie events happening. Just this week we welcomed our favorite French chef Manu Feildel to town, launching his book, French for Everyone at berardo’s.
Fly direct NZ to Sunshine Coast: Take advantage of Air New Zealand’s direct flights between Auckland and Sunshine Coast Airport from 27 June to 26 October and escape to Noosa for a warming winter holiday. Peak periods will have 3 flights a week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. For other times, flights are twice weekly on Sundays and Fridays.
Hinterland heaven: Beyond the blue sea and golden sands of the Noosa coastline lies Noosa country, a 20-30 minute drive from Noosa Heads through towns including Eumundi, Cooroy, Pomona, Cooran and Kin Kin. New to the country are the outdoor Cooroy Originals concerts (4th Sunday of every month); Eumundi Wintersun Festival (once every season, 29 June); and Cooroy Grass Roots Markets (every Sunday); along with favourite events including Cooroy Fusion Festival (10 May), Pomona King of the Mountain (27 July), Reality Bites Literary Festival (23-26 October), Opera in the Amphitheatre (31 August) and the Great Noosa Trail Walk (4-6 October).
Lookout!: See a magical Noosa sunrise or sunset with a bird’s eye view from one of Noosa’s easily accessible lookouts. Drive along Viewland Drive, Noosa Heads to Noosa Lookout or you can walk from the end of Hastings Street – it’s worth it!
