Lexis Noosa’s wonderful homestay families

Our fantastic homestay families have such a good time with their students, they really do treat them as their own children. Let’s see what Wanda, one of our lovely homestay families, wants to share with us:

“I really enjoy the lovely youthful energy of my students and I learn from them as I believe they learn from me. They are all different and very special in their own way and they keep me young!
We are a household full of respect and laughter and their families should be commended on bringing up such socially aware and courteous young people who take their schooling and future seriously. They really appreciate staying here in paradise and are always sad to leave. Of course I miss them too because they are a part of my family while they are here and I love to catch up on all their news. They say that they like Australian people very much because they are so easy-going and kind and that they have fun at school as well as learning English to help them with their future employment. They always come home from school with a smile on their face! They tell me I must come to visit them in their country one day, but meanwhile we keep in touch via Facebook, which is nice.

Here is a note from Miyuki who just left to go back to Japan recently:

Dear Wanda, thank you, it is my last day today and I am sad. You were very kind to me so I could enjoy my stay here for two months. I really liked Noosa and staying in your house. There is so much nature and beautiful ocean here and I will come back again someday and I would like to meet with you again. It has been a very good experience for me to come to Noosa because I couldn’t speak English fluently but I had to speak English everywhere of course, so I learned many things.

Miyuki”

It is such a pleasure to be able to have our Lexis students looked after by such pleasant and friendly families, thank you Wanda for being such a wonderful host and thank you for sharing your experience with us… the adventure continues!
