The Master Chef competition was under way this afternoon, with three teams competing against one another for the ‘Master Chef Noosa’ title. The teams had the option to choose five core ingredients from the table and unlimited sauces and spices.
After the timer started the teams were underway preparing creative dished from their limited ingredients. It was getting hot and busy in the kitchen with all teams trying to find space to cook their meals. I thought this may be a good time to put on some relaxing Tibetan meditation music 🙂 🙂
With 5 minutes to go, two teams had completed and plated their dishes while one team was scrambling to get their pasta cooked in time. The pasta was cooked just in time as the buzzer had gone off and the three judges assembled around the table to sample the team’s different dishes.
One team had made a lovely creamy pasta dish, another team made a lovely looking fried noodle omelette dish, and the final team had made a chicken masala curry.
It was a difficult choice, all looked and tasted great and were all very different, but the judges agreed that the winner of Master Chef Noosa was…. the chicken masala curry! Well done guys and enjoy you $20 voucher!
