Becky Taking Bets

Kerry is an animal Thursday night at the Koala Bar. BUT, which animal?

Kerry is keeping his choice of animal costume for Thursday’s animal party a big secret. I am taking bets. Drop into my office tomorrow and make a bet on which animal. If you guess correctly you will win a prize.  becky

Sayaka Returns To Say Hi

Sayaka Nagano took a break from her busy life in Sydney to visit her Noosa friends.

Saya graduated from GV Noosa four months ago and is now working in a popular Sydney cafe. She said, “I love Noosa and this school and I miss everybody so much. I really had fun here and I will come back”.

Saya was a keen surfer and the surf is better here also…isn’t it!  We miss you too. xx Becky

Further study options – Sunshine Coast TAFE

Sunshine Coast TAFE’s 2009 brochure has been printed, with a full listing of courses available for international students.

Pick up a copy from Becky if you are interested in looking at further study options following your English.  Most courses are held in Maroochydore or Mooloolaba, with other options in Nambour, and Becky will be happy to point you in the right direction.

GV Noosa has a direct entry agreement to Sunshine Coast TAFE, which means you do not need to take the IELTS test. More details from Becky!

Movie Afternoons – Tuesday and Thursday

As the weather warms up, it can be nice to spend a quiet afternoon in the aircon.  From now until the end of Summer, we’ll be showing two movies each week on the big screen in the kitchen area.  Most importantly, there’ll be free popcorn….

Tuesday 2.15pm – Casino Royale

(Daniel Craig, Eva Green)

This is a classic remake of the first James Bond movie….see where it all began.

 Thursday 2.15pm – In Bruges

(Colin Farrel, Brendan Gleeson)

This story of two British hitmen sent to Belgium is one of the funniest movies of this year.  The dialogue is wonderful, and will teach you some very ‘cool’ English (especially if you are considering a career in organised crime…). Don’t miss this movie!!
