3 meter waves, Singstar and 70’s madness

Not even a rain storm can spoil the fun at GV Noosa!

The French boys grabbed their boards to catch the 3 meter waves rolling in an the rest of us had a party, rocking the school with Karaoke on our new Playstation 3.  Thank goodness we had Nicholas around to help calibrate the new system1

Don’t forget to get out those platform boots and bling for the 70s party at the Rolling Rock tonight.  Rumour has it that Kerry will wear a beard…um?

Fraser Island Safari

A group of thirteen GV Noosa students have just returned from a three day getaway to world famous Fraser Island.

It started with an early morning Saturday pick up in a luxury 4WD coach, specially desiged to access Fraser, which is the world’s largest sand island.  From there, it was off to see the coloured sands on the beaches of Noosa North Shore, then a short drive to the ferry across to Fraser.

Over the three days, the group explored a great part of the island, going as far as Indian Heads.  Much of the trip was to enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Fraser, but there wa also time for dune surfing and swimming in the crystal clear fresh water lakes.

In the evening, the group chilled out at the beach house, playing pool, enjoying a few drinks and great meals.

The group finally returned to Noosa on Monday afternoon, completely exhausted and with some great memories to take home with them.

Check out www.trailblazertours.com.au for more information on the trip, and go to the GV Noosa Facebook page at  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7679096274 to see more photos. If you went on the trip and have some shots on your camera, why not load them up as well for everyone to enjoy!

Summer programs kick off at GV Noosa

Each year we welcome hundreds of junior students to the Sunshine Coast for the school holiday period.  Some students study at local high schools, some in resorts around Noosa and some others join us here in the school.

This week, we’ve seen junior students arrive from France, Korea, Taiwan, Denmark, Russia and Japan.  Please take a moment to make our junior students welcome at GV Noosa!

Junior students study with us in the morning, then go on to do activities each afternoon.  Lots of our French students are taking Surfing lessons each afternoon, so look out for them on the waves!
