After School Fun

Students chose not to play beach soccer this afternoon and opted for some relaxation at school instead!

It was a lazy afternoon at Lexis Noosa. Some students chose to catch up on study, some decided to sit back and watch a movie, whilst others organised their own table tennis competition. Congratulations to Manuel who beat 11 other students at table tennis to win a surf lesson thanks to Lexis English and Noosa Learn to Surf.

Last week we left you with

the word behold...

and the expression “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”

Behold means to have in sight; to see clearly; to look at; to regard with the eyes or to direct the eyes or fix them upon an object.

With reference to the expression…as we all know…. beauty is highly subjective.This means that something or someone is beautiful depending on the individual taste of the person who is doing the viewing.

This week we have the word …Gobbledigook….from Lina (see picture below)

Volleyball Heats Up

Lexis Noosa students hung out at the Nomads Noosa sand volleyball court this afternoon.

The sand was hot and kept the players on their toes but that didn’t stop them from playing a friendly few games of volleyball. Congratulations to the Corinthians who won the best out of three tournament on won themselves a liquorland gift card.

Another Outstanding IELTS Result

Lexis Noosa Kicks A Goal – (to be modest… several goals)!

Lexis Noosa and Lexis Sunshine Coast came head to head in a game of futsal at Noosa Leisure Centre yesterday afternoon.

It was shirts off and game on for our Lexis Noosa team as the whistle blew for the first half of the game. Lexis Sunshine Coast kicked the first goal after 5 minutes and cheers were roaring from the massive Sunshine Coast supporters who travelled an hour in a bus to watch their team. It was not long after that Noosa started to show their superb futsul skills and kicked goal after goal. Half time saw Noosa on 7 and Sunshine Coast on 2. There was still hope for Sunshine Coast to catch up as the Saudi boys finally turned up to play!

The last half included some in/unintentional trips, slams, bumps, hot heads and amazing saves by both goal keepers. Sunshine Coast won with the show of supporters but Noosa won the game! The final score was Noosa 10 and Sunshine Coast 3. The afterparty took place overlooking the gorgeous Noosa River at Noosa Yacht Club with some jugs of beer provided courtesy of Lexis English. Congratulations to our Lexis Noosa Futsul Team… we are so proud of you!

In the spirit of Valentines Day, Sandra’s cooking class made some cupcakes for their loved ones… and some were hoping to find love by offering a cupcake!

The students celebrated Valentines Day with a party and postcards!

Students and staff expressed their love to each other by writing postcards and placing them in the love box for delivery to each classroom. After the postcards were handed out it was time for some food, drink and lots of kisses! Love was in the air and kisses were seen everywhere!
