Where in Switzerland are you from?

Close to Zurich

What is your occupation there?

I am a Physical Education Teacher for Secondary school (ages 12-16 years), and I also train recruits at a Police Academy.

Which Lexis English course are you studying?

English and Surfing for 1 month

Are you enjoying surfing?

Yes, I really like the surfing lessons. My instructor is so helpful, and makes me feel safe in the ocean.

What do you think about the local beaches?

I like that there are two different beaches here – Main beach, which is more protected and Sunshine Beach, which is rougher. I really like that both beaches are connected by the National park, the walk is beautiful. The beach amenities are great as well; you can take a shower and even drink the tap water.

Which class are you in?

Upper-Intermediate / Advanced

Have you made a lot of friends at Lexis?

Yes, we are all a close group and there is a good Nationality mix in my class.

Are you living with a host family?

Yes, I live with my hostfamily in Noosaville near the river. I am totally happy with my family and living with a hostfamily has helped with my English conversation.

Have you enjoyed your study and lifestyle in Noosa?

Just yesterday I said to my friend I could live here forever!

Where will you go from here – any travel plans?

I will go on a sailing trip to Airlie Beach and then to Cape Tribulation

What do you hope to achieve from your Lexis English course?

A wider range of job opportunities. I hope to become a Secondary English Teacher one day, and studying English and the experience of living in an English Speaking Country will help me achieve my goal.
